Ioannis Kyprakis received his B.Sc. degree in Informatics Engineering from the Technological Educational Institute of Crete – Department of Informatics Engineering in 2022, with a thesis focused on calculating vegetation indicators in crops using optical methods and IoT technologies. He further pursued two master’s degrees: an M.Sc. in Informatics Engineering at the Hellenic Mediterranean University, completed in 2024, and an M.Sc. in Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare from the Université de Bourgogne, completed in 2024, with his thesis focusing on the “Identification of Parkinson’s disease facial symptoms using deep learning techniques”. From March 2024 until October 2024, he was a Research Engineer Intern at the Computational BioMedicine Laboratory (CBML) of the Institute of Computer Science at FORTH focusing on research projects related to Parkinson’s disease, emphasizing advanced video analysis techniques. Since November 2024, he has been working as a Research Engineer at CBML of the Institute of Computer Science at FORTH, contributing to the CardiOCARE project, which focuses on extracting digital biomarkers for quality of life estimation in elderly multimorbid patients. In addition, he is an active organizer and chair of the IEEE EMBS chapter at the Hellenic Mediterranean University, fostering collaborations with major institutions and organizing impactful initiatives.
